IMC commissioner Asheesh Singh said that IMC was already working on making rivers and nullahs of city sewage free. “We are going to develop sewage system, which will prevent drain water from getting mixed into ponds in the city. We are already working on a similar project covering two rivers and six nullahs. In the next phase of the project, we will cover all ponds in city,” he said Detailing about the project, he said that leakages were reported in secondary sewage lines. “We have decided to replace all damaged secondary lines with new ones and connect them with primary sewage lines. A survey will be conducted to identify all damage lines,” he said.
